Huntsville's Muskoka Heritage Place is the home of Muskoka Pioneer Village and the Huntsville Lake of Bays Railway. The Village includes the reconstruction of a typical early 1900's settlement with seventeen restored pioneer buildings. You can also ride the Portage Flyer, a beautifully restored steam train and travel along the Muskoka River to Fairy Lake. Your Landscapes vacation begins when you arrive at the Welcome Centre. Enter the Registration Office and meet our friendly and helpful staff. Your cottage or cottage villa has been thoroughly cleaned and prepared for your arrival. You can get the key, unlock the door, and you're home. Staff is there for you throughout your stay, if you need assistance. There's a computer area if someone needs to check E-Mail, print a report or send a fax. The convenient tuck shop carries pop, juice, milk, chips, personal hygiene products, film and other basic supplies that you may require. The Welcome Centre includes a Games Room where you can enjoy a game of pool or shuffleboard and the younger group can enjoy the electronic games. Visit the downstairs Theatre and experience the visual wonder of watching your favourite movie on a screen that is measured in feet rather than inches. The multi-channel sound system with acoustically matched speakers is of unquestionable quality and will keep you and your family enthralled. Coming and going, you never need to lift a finger to prepare your cottage. Now that's carefree ownership. Curl Up By the Fire When you and your guests want to mingle with The Landscapes' community, come to the central Clubhouse and relax. A flickering blaze in the huge Muskoka fireplace and the roomy, comfortable chairs beckon you to snuggle in for the afternoon or evening. You will love the casual yet luxurious décor. Chat with neighbours and make new friends. There's a TV for your enjoyment and even a billiards table for impromptu competitions.
